Our First Wags

How gabbi’s Boutique was born…Yap! Yap! My name is gabbi and I’m a 3 pound Morkie. My mom adopted me when I was only 12 weeks old. My mom’s “sister at heart” adopted my litter mate sister, Grace Ann and so I get to see my sister lots and lots, which is very cool!

Changes

Tons of things have changed since I first adopted my new family. I now have two sisters that live with me. ClaraBelle is a Pomeranian/Maltese mix who is about one year old. And Nikki is my other sister. She is also about one and she is a Morkie like me…We have lots of fun together, but they are not quite through being puppies yet, so sometimes they totally get on my nerves…But I love ‘em just the same! Maggie and Taylor still live with their Dad and are doing great!

My Human Relatives...

I have two human brothers, Caleb and Seth and they are really the ones who are the inspiration for the birth of gabbi’s Boutique. When my oldest brother Caleb got his driver’s license and started driving, my mom went crazy with worry. She seemed to pace the floor and cry all the time. Her friends and family became worried about her and suggested she find something to do to occupy her time. That is when she started to make clothes for me. You see…I’m such a teenie-tiny princess that I stay cold all the time. Well unless I’m at the beach, which by the way, is mine and mom’s favorite place in the whole wide world.

Once Mom started sewing she seemed to stop crying so much about Caleb and his driving. Whew! Since then -- Seth has gotten his driver’s license, but luckily the store had mom so busy she didn’t have as much time to worry about his driving! Both of my brothers are at college now and doing awesome! I sure miss them being around the house though…And…I am happy to report that their driving seems to be quite good!

Fast Forward to...

Soon I had so many clothes that we were running out of room to store them. That’s when we contacted a couple of local pet stores and asked if they might be interested in selling my line of clothing. Of course I went along as the model and needless to say………..they couldn’t resist! My line of clothing was a huge success and thus Mom decided to go out on a limb and try her hand at her own store. That was almost four years ago….
